songstress
Rikku wears two outfits outside of battle in this game too. Although she wears her thief costume the most, she is ready to hop on to the dress of a singer when dancing and music is needed. I think becoming a singer/dancer is one of her dreams, that's how enthusiastic she is.
Anyway, let's start from the top. There's nothing new about her hair or bandana, but she has big....I'll just call them gloves until I can think of a better name. She looks like she is going to a dress-up ball if you look at these handpieces alone. They're orange and has dark blue (changes into black) feathery substance where they end halfway up her arms. She must not be ticklish. And take note of the black straps right before her underarms. God knows what they are for, but they look cool.
And now for the complex part. You can see the black straps repeat themselves on her thighs...I guess they weren't just bra straps.
The sleeve-less shirt itself has a sort of tail at the back (you can't see it in this picture), and you can see that it is extremely frilly at the edges around her stomach. She even has a dark blue tie (so it looks a little like a suit)! And a little tummy is showing for sexiness (but no cleavage....strange). Boy, she is really trying to get away from the image of a little girl! Her belt looks fashionable, it's like three blue-tinged metal circles glued to a white strap of leather. Or plastic, whichever she prefers.
Her skirt looks cool, though it is small. You never can really tell if there's a black skirt underneath or if the whole material is dark blue fading into black.
I love her boots! They pretty much repeat the pattern shown on her 'gloves', but they look mighty comfy! Not much heel, and they're orange with the mysterious blue texture at the ends. Who in real life would wear orange boots? Not many even in the gaming world does.
Microphone is the only thing that this staff looks like, and since it's a part of the SONGSTRESS dressphere, it only makes sense, ne? It's green, and reaches most likely to her chest from the ground. I don't know why the microphone is green, when the rest of the outfit is blue and orange (opposite colors, btw).
And here ends our little tour of Rikku's singing outfit. It's cool, it's colorful, it's...well, I like it!
