SUBJECT: Selphie Tilmitt of Final Fantasy VIII
TYPE: Character Shrine
SINCE: April 25th, 2008

Rapture is my most recent tribute to a game character; it came to be when my third (?) time through Final Fantasy VIII, in early 2008, left me with a giant urge to shrine one of its characters. Selphie is my favorite and I believe her to be horribly underestimated, so the choice wasn't too difficult. I really, really like how this website turned out: it's light and spunky, but at the same time very extensive and in-depth, and I think it does Selphie justice (hey, I tend to judge myself harshly, so my opinion counts for something!). Although I put Rapture together in just a little over than two weeks, it is still a highly organized place, with as much content on the chosen character as you could possibly wish to find. VISIT?

SUBJECT: Tifa Lockheart of Final Fantasy VII
TYPE: Character Shrine
SINCE: September 22nd, 2003

Rose of May is my longest running website, and my most popular one as well. It was my first shrining effort in English, and although it has undergone a couple of revamps since its launch date, I consistently made a point not to include any Compilation content: let's just say I hate to see Squaresoft sell itself out. Either way, it should be noted that, since going through adolescence and maturing out of my shyness and gloominess, I no longer have much respect for Tifa's own; my perception of her character has changed drastically, and I really can't say I find her motives as noble anymore. I still like her nonetheless, even if for different reasons now, so this thing stays up. I would love to rewrite all of this shrine's content according to my new views, but I just don't care enough, so what you see is what you get: just keep in mind that these are outdated opinions. Fanlistings

CATEGORY: Movies
SUBJECT: The Dreamers (2003)
SINCE: June 15th, 2008

Innocentia is a much deserved tribute to The Dreamers (2003), a gorgeous, delightfully European film by acclaimed Italian director (and genius) Bernardo Bertolucci. After Crash, The Dreamers is one of my very top favorite movies, and it outrages me to see how shadowed it is: most likely due to its NC-17 rating in ever so conservative America. I first thought of building a fanlisting to it back in late 2006, but lack of time eventually led me to give up on the project. Later, in 2008, I was amazed to realize there still wasn't one, and I decided I couldn't just let the opportunity slip; so, here it is, at last! More than just a mere fanlisting, Innocentia contains all sorts of information on the film, as well as a nice gallery for your viewing pleasure. VISIT?

Personal

TYPE: LiveJournal
SINCE: December 4th, 2006

Catharsis is my beloved LiveJournal, consisting mostly of friends-locked entries, save a few exceptions. I used to own a weblog instead; eventually, however, writing on it began to feel like a chore to me, so I decided I needed a place that I didn't feel forced to update regularly: and thus my free LiveJournal account was born. I will never upgrade to a paid package, nor will the content of my posts ever be consistent or politically/morally correct: I'm a very open-minded, sexual being, and this place is basically a dump for random thoughts and feelings that don't always make sense for outsiders. With that said, let me finish by stating that while I do not go out of my way to make friends (since I write mostly for myself), I hold nothing against adding some people to the list; so, if you think you can handle the controversial subjects I tend to write about, feel free to ask. Upcoming

SUBJECT: Aerith Gainsborough of Final Fantasy VII
TYPE: Character Shrine
STATUS: Around 20% complete (rough estimate)

Always is a very old project of mine: because Aerith is, without any doubt, my all-time favorite game character, I've wanted to make a tribute to her ever since I finished the game for the first time, many years ago. Fear of failure and the weight of responsibility have always prevented me from getting started, but late in 2007 I finally began putting some articles and multimedia together. Despite the fact that it's been on the planning for so long, I'm still not sure which way I wish to take this shrine -- should I stick to what truly interests me, and make it a more personal, essay-oriented tribute, or should I make Always as comprehensive as possible for the viewers' pleasure? --, which is the main reason the whole project is currently on hold. I am quite pleased with what I do have ready so far, however (and a gorgeous layout is included in that). The one thing I am sure about at this point is that this website will be overflowing with formal writing expressing all kinds of opinions: and the fact that I even allowed myself to fully explore the Compilation in order to be as correct as possible in my information goes to show how important Aerith is to me. I want Always to be perfect in my eyes, and only when that happens will it be launched. Until then, be patient!
