 BLOOD

Tifa's official blood type is B.

Type B
Roughly, 11% of the world is B, 9% being B+ (positive) and 2% being B- (negative). Type B blood types are defined as Hunters and described as Active. These people don't care much about other people's opinions and are non-conventional. However, this does not necessarily make them emotionless or cold, for they are also often described as cheerful, optimistic, sensitive, kind, forgetful, energetic and sociable. They have the drive to reach towards goals and may be workaholics, even though they're individualistic and egocentric (which makes them bad team players).

Not only are they adventurous, they tend to have a strong personality and always want things their way, often becoming impatient when they don't get what they want exactly when they want it. B-types like to touch and be touched by others. Some of their bad traits are being lazy, noisy and unorganized. They can also be quite shallow, and avoid doing what other people request.

I don't think the description above suits Tifa at all. She may indeed be kind, sensitive and even optimistic in her own way; she does have a strong personality and will do anything it takes to achieve her goals; yet, she is not your stereotype for sociable, lazy or shallow. She does give importance to what others might think, and can't definitely be described as egocentric or individualistic. From my point of view, Tifa is a much more accurate A-type: not only would this blood type suit her well (contrary to B), it would also be a much better match for her Zodiac sign (Taurus):

Type A
These individuals are careful, honest, polite, loyal, and, most importantly, self-sacrificing, introverted, and nervous and shy around others. Another significant trait is their pessimism at times, and their hesitation when it comes to changes. They tend to be reserved, even-tempered and sensitive to public opinion. Contrary to B-types, they value relationships and prefer a private place over a crowd; they are good at team work and dislike, or are afraid, to touch or be touched.

When considering that the producers made Yuffie an A-type, it's really no big surprise that Tifa happens to be a B-type. I personally believe the blood types for these two characters should have been switched; then again, I don't think Squaresoft took this kind of details too much into consideration when creating them.
