• Will you link me?
I'm sorry, but I won't link anyone, except for my affiliates. A "links out" section isn't a stable thing to maintain, with websites being closed down or changing URL's everyday. I don't have the time nor the will to check often enough, and I really wouldn't want this shrine to be full of dead links: and neither would you, I suppose. Therefore, no, sorry.• Will you host me?
Basically, no.• Interested in affiliation?
Only with Final Fantasy character and couple shrines: no joint websites, please. I haven't set limits for affiliation; yet, this does not mean I'll accept virtually anyone who asks, I'll have to make a judgment first. Please contact me if you're interested.• What are the rules for contents usage?
I've made everything quite clear here, I believe.• Are you accepting donations?
Yes, of course, for the Fanart, Wallpapers and Avatars sections. Any information contribution will be considered, but not necessarily used. Other multimedia files (songs, movies, Winamp skins,...) are welcome as well: contact me.• I found a broken link, what should I do?
Please report immediately, thank you.• How did you come up with the name for this shrine?
If you're into Final Fantasy music, you'll probably know that Rose of May is a beautiful piano song from the ninth installment. On the other hand, Tifa was born in May and I've always associated her with red roses (not because it's official or anything; it's just an impression she leaves me with): when, after a lot of struggling (I did consider calling this shrine "Fiery Rose", so, as you can see, I wasn't particularly creative at the time), "Rose of May" suddenly came up to me out of nowhere, I realized I wasn't going to have any better ideas in the near future and decided to stick with it. At least, the name of my shrine doesn't read "heart" or "love" anywhere (yes, the ordinary annoys me). I love it.• Don't you think this website is lacking in the information department?
As a matter of fact, no, I don't. According to my point of view, a character shrine is supposed to be a dedication to one single character, and must feature as much content on that same character as possible, in order for the visitor to be able to understand or even like him/her better. Rose of May claims to be a character shrine to Tifa Lockheart from Final Fantasy VII, nothing more; and, to be honest, I don't see how a full page on a minor character from the game or one of Midgar's Mako reactors can help you figure out Tifa's personal reasons any better. It is totally beyond my understanding how pseudo-superior writing saying nothing significant at all can do due justice to a complex character like this. Certainly, there must be some futile information for visitors to get the basics, even some merely interesting content (such as blood type or name analysis) for those who find it amusing, but only as long as it focuses on Tifa and attempts at explaining something about her. Those who view it otherwise and apparently consider endless essays on Johnny or the Diamond Weapon essential on a Tifa shrine obviously get my full respect as well, but that's not what I have planned for my shrine. You won't see any of that here. I don't feel the need to throw around general Final Fantasy VII knowledge on a character shrine just to feel a little more sure about myself, or be able to claim my website is the most complete. It all comes down to common sense, really.• Where is all the Ehrgeiz/Advent Children/whatever content?
There's none. Yes, you read it right: none. There used to be some, but I removed it as of the 2005 revamp. The sad truth is, my dear friends, that it doesn't seem to me that Square-Enix is trying to give its characters any more depth with all the new movies and games: actually, it all comes down to Final Fantasy VII being one of their best games ever, and anything related to it selling like hot cakes. All new versions of Tifa that might show up are not the ones I fell in love with, nor the ones I feel the need to write about. I loved her character in the original and that's it; that's what I'll be talking about. I suppose this might come out as laziness, but, honestly, I hate how Square-Enix is manipulating its fans by creating a "Compilation of Final Fantasy VII"; at first I thought it'd be great, but now it's just too much. This is the Tifa I like, the one I wish to dedicate a whole website to. I don't see how it can be any fun that a dozen movies and games come out to destroy all previous theories fans might have had about the characters' future: I used to be happy about Advent Children, but now I wonder whether all it ever did was ruin people's expectations. Some things are just better left alone, and that's what I'll do here. I'm sure you'll be able to find that content elsewhere.• Who is your favorite Final Fantasy VII character?
That would have to be Aerith.• Why a shrine to Tifa, then?
First off, I want to be the living proof that it's possible and easy to love both Aerith and Tifa in their essence. Tifa is my favorite character right after Aerith, and the one out of the two girls that I definitely can relate to on many levels, so, it felt only logical to build this shrine. Aerith is too much of a martyr for me to write about her, anyway.• Are you Tifa?
Damn, my breasts always give it away.
